Editorial policy
Curious Resource aims to explain materials accurately and plainly. We make the limits of a general explanation visible, correct errors when they are brought to our attention, and identify paid or partner material clearly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable references before publication and use precise language where material properties depend on composition, treatment or intended use. We avoid unsupported certainty, separate general explanation from product-specific claims and revise wording when an important qualification is missing.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and clarity, not to promise favourable coverage. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled in plain terms so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.
Corrections
Readers are encouraged to report possible errors through the Contact page. We review the concern, check the relevant passage and correct material inaccuracies or clarify wording where appropriate. We identify substantial updates within the affected piece when useful to readers.
Images and illustrations
Illustrations may be used to explain a material, process or visual detail. Some illustrations are AI-generated; when an image could be mistaken for a documentary photograph or an exact depiction, we label it accordingly.
Materials shape the things we live with.
Knowing what an object is made from can make its design, care and history easier to understand. Curiosity starts with looking closely.
